About Lynette
Lynette is the Founder of the award winning Compassionate Harps™ and
Director of HealthCare Harps Institute, LLC. Lynette and her
team of certified therapeutic harpists have provided documented harp
services for hundreds of seriously ill people and their families throughout
the Inland Empire since 1996.
Her work has been acknowledged by the South California Cancer
Pain Inniative (SCCPI) in 2006 when she received an individual Award
for Excellence for her therapeutic harp work with cancer
patients, and in 2005 Compassionate Harps received a Volunteer
Service Award from Aging Services of California
Lynette has been employed at St. Bernadine Medical Center
as hospital harpist since 2000, as well as a participant in
a research study utilizing live harp music for pain control. She
is a founding board member of the National Standards Board
of Therapeutic Musicians, and member of the Society for the Arts
in Healthcare. Her certification as Certified Therapeutic
Harp Practitioner (CTHP) is through the International Harp Therapy
Program.
Lynette is a popular speaker and workshop presenter on the
subject of music, medicine and the harp, and has been featured at
organizations such as: CAHSA, Pomona Valley Hospital Medical Center,
Academy of Medical Surgical Nurses, Loma Linda University Medical
Center, and the Robert and Beverly Lewis Cancer Center.
As a professional harpist, Lynette
lends her special touch of elegance specific to the needs of her
clients. She has performed at venues throughout Southern California
such as The Beverly Hills Hotel, Greystone Mansion, Edward Dean Museum,
Mission Inn, and for many private clients. |
